Tong Ho Steel may hike H-beam price again

Taiwan’s Tong Ho Steel may hike its H-beam price again since the global scrap price has edged up by about US$20/ton again in a week.

The company hiked its H-beam price by NT$800/ton before the Chinese New Year vacation and some market analysts expected Tong Ho Steel may hike its H-beam price by another NT$800/ton later.

Tong Ho Steel is Taiwan's largest H-beam producer, which owns 70 percent market shares in Taiwan domestic market.

The raising global scrap price has pushed the company to hike their rebar price by NT$500/ton, it is about NT$200/ton higher than Feng Hsin's price level.

Therefore, it is predictable that Tong Ho Steel will hike its H-beam price again in this week.
